WASHER & DRYER RENTAL AGREEMENT – TERMS & CONDITIONS
By checking “I Agree,” accepting delivery, using the Equipment, or submitting payment, you (“Customer”) agree to the following terms with Leonard's Washer and Dryer Rentals (“Company”).
1. Rental Agreement
Customer agrees to rent the washer and/or dryer equipment (“Equipment”) for the recurring rental fee disclosed at checkout or on the order summary. This is a rental and not a purchase agreement. Ownership of the Equipment remains solely with the Company at all times. Customer acquires no ownership rights regardless of rental duration.
Customer agrees not to remove, alter, deface, sell, transfer, pawn, or conceal any ownership labels or markings on the Equipment.
2. Minimum Term
This Agreement requires a minimum commitment of six (6) months.
If Customer cancels before completing the minimum term, Customer agrees to pay an early termination fee equal to the remaining balance owed through the minimum term.
After the initial term, this Agreement automatically renews on a month-to-month basis until canceled in accordance with these terms.
3.Subscription; Automatic Renewal Disclosure (California Compliance)
This Agreement is a recurring subscription service under California law, including the California Automatic Renewal Law.
By agreeing to these terms, Customer expressly acknowledges and agrees that:
• Customer will be charged the monthly recurring amount disclosed at checkout, on the order summary, invoice, payment page, or subscription authorization
• Charges will automatically recur using the payment method provided
• Billing will continue until canceled in accordance with this Agreement
• A six (6) month minimum commitment applies
• After the minimum term, the subscription automatically renews every 28 days unless canceled
• Customer authorizes Company to charge recurring rent, taxes, late fees, damages, collection costs, and all other amounts owed under this Agreement
4. Payments
Payments are due in advance each month on the same calendar day of each month corresponding to the original billing date.
Customer authorizes Company to retain payment information on file and process automatic recurring payments.
If payment fails or is declined, Company may reattempt payment using the authorized payment method.
Late payments may result in:
• A late fee of $15 per missed payment
• Suspension of service
• Removal or recovery of Equipment
• Collections activity
• Reporting to credit bureaus to the extent permitted by law
Customer agrees to pay all reasonable collection costs, recovery costs, attorney’s fees, court costs, arbitration costs, and third-party collection fees permitted by applicable law.
5. Delivery, Installation & Included Services
The following services are included while Customer remains in good standing:
• Standard delivery
• Standard installation
• Normal maintenance and repairs
• Replacement of non-functional Equipment due to normal wear
• Standard removal at end of rental
Additional fees may apply for:
• Stairs
• Difficult access
• Unsafe installation conditions
• Missed appointments
• Relocation requests
• Non-standard hookups
6. Use of Equipment
Equipment is for residential personal use only at the approved service address.
Customer agrees:
• Not to move the Equipment without Company’s written approval
• Not to allow unauthorized repairs
• Not to misuse, overload, abuse, modify, tamper with, or negligently operate the Equipment
• To use the Equipment according to manufacturer instructions
If Customer moves residences, Company must perform the relocation and additional fees may apply.
Rent continues until the Equipment is physically recovered by Company.
7. Damage, Loss & Theft
Customer is responsible for all damage beyond normal wear and tear, including damage caused by misuse, abuse, negligence, unauthorized repairs, improper hookups, theft, fire, flood, or loss.
If Equipment is lost, stolen, abandoned, concealed, destroyed, or cannot reasonably be recovered, Customer agrees to pay:
• Full replacement value of the Equipment
• Any unpaid rental balances
• Recovery and collection costs
8. Access Authorization & Equipment Recovery
Customer agrees to provide reasonable access to the Equipment for delivery, inspection, maintenance, repair, replacement, and recovery.
If Customer resides in an apartment, condominium, or managed property, Customer authorizes Company to communicate with property management, leasing offices, landlords, and property owners regarding delivery, service, maintenance, and Equipment recovery.
Customer authorizes apartment management or leasing staff to release keys or provide lawful access to the premises for Equipment retrieval after default, provided such access occurs lawfully and without breach of the peace.
If Customer defaults and fails to cure the default after ten (10) days written notice, Company may recover the Equipment in accordance with applicable law.
Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Company, its contractors, property managers, landlords, and leasing offices for actions reasonably taken in reliance on this authorization.
9. Default
Customer will be in default if:
• Customer fails to make required payments
• Customer breaches any provision of this Agreement
• Customer provides false information
• Company reasonably believes the prospect of payment or recovery is impaired
10. Remedies
Upon default, Company may:
• Terminate this Agreement
• Recover possession of the Equipment
• Disable or suspend service
• Recover unpaid balances
• Recover future balances owed through the minimum term
• Recover replacement value for lost or unrecoverable Equipment
• Send accounts to collections
• Report delinquent balances to credit bureaus as permitted by law
• Pursue arbitration, small claims, or any other lawful remedy
11. Cancellation
After the minimum term, Customer may cancel with thirty (30) days notice.

Customer remains responsible for rental charges until Equipment is returned or recovered by Company.
12. No Warranties
Except as expressly stated herein, Equipment is provided “AS IS.”
Company disclaims all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted operation, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Company shall not be liable for:
• Damage to clothing or personal property
• Water damage
• Electrical damage
• Fire damage
• Mold
• Indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages
Company’s maximum liability shall not exceed the total rental payments paid by Customer during the thirty (30) days preceding the claim.
14. Release & Indemnification
Customer agrees to release, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Company and its owners, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from:
• Customer’s use or misuse of Equipment
• Customer’s breach of this Agreement
• Damage occurring while Equipment is in Customer’s possession
15. Arbitration & Waiver of Jury Trial
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from this Agreement shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its applicable consumer rules.
Customer and Company waive:
• Trial by jury
• Participation in class actions
• Participation in class arbitration
Either party may elect arbitration before or after litigation is filed.
16. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California without regard to conflict of law principles.
17. Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes prior discussions or understandings.
18. Electronic Consent
Customer agrees that electronic signatures, checkbox acknowledgments, typed names, automated records, payment activity, delivery acceptance, and electronic communications constitute valid evidence of agreement and acceptance of these Terms.
